our heart
Through the art of storytelling and storying, we seek to connect people together for personal growth, life transformation, and encouragement. When we can, we specialize in Biblical storytelling that helps each person in their renewed engagement with the presence of God. The Word of God becomes alive through the oral interpretation of the Bible and we want everyone to hear, learn, and tell more Bible stories.
our mission
Through engaging storytelling, interactive storying, and empowering workshops, we use shared stories to transform lives and communities.
our vision
People are transformed through authentically engaging in the Word of God.
Meet the founder
Gerri Baker
Storyteller, Pastor, Teacher, Speaker, Author
Why did I start Transforming Storytelling? I have always loved storytelling. I got a Master's degree in storytelling and have loved it ever since -- the creativity, the characters, the action, the stories!. It wasn't however, until I took a class about being transformed by the Word of God, becoming deeply rooted, hearing it in a new way by reading it aloud by Lectio Divina, that I got a vision for how we are truly shaped and changed by our interaction of the Word. If we could then learn and tell stories, allow them to rest in our hearts as we
work through learning them by heart, and then share them for the encouragement and growth of others -- then I truly believe it will begin to change and mold us to be more like Christ. It would transform us more into his likeness. Transforming storytelling was started.
Since then, every person who has worked with us have been amazing on how it blessing them and helps them to grow spiritual. They love it and see great changes in themselves in even a short time!
